Drone ExpressTM, a division of TELEGRID Technologies Inc., is a full-service logistics company that uses airborne autonomous drones for local package delivery. This service will provide low-cost same-day delivery for retailers nationwide using drones that are safe, secure and use eco-friendly renewable energy. Our office locations include outside New York City in East Hanover, NJ, San Diego, CA and Cincinnati, OH.
TELEGRID has been developing cutting-edge technology for the U.S. Military for over 35 years. TELEGRID designed and developed AeroGRID+ drone swarm technology which recently received a Small Business Innovative Research (SBIR) award from the U.S. Air Force. In 2018, the commercial potential of AeroGRID+ in the same-day delivery market was identified and Drone Express was born.
Beth Flippo is an accomplished embedded engineer with over 20 years of experience in the technology industry. She has designed and developed enduring hardware and software solutions with a focus on cybersecurity and mobility in the finance and defense industries. Beth Flippo is the inventor of the underlying autonomous in-flight decision-making technology in Drone Express and is passionate about unmanned systems. She has overseen the expansion of the Drone Express development team and remains a hands-on participant in the system design.
She is also the V.P. of Embedded Software development at TELEGRID where her leadership of the engineering team led to an expanded product line and further adoption of products into major DoD agencies world-wide. Prior to TELEGRID, she worked in the finance industry at Cantor Fitzgerald, Goldman Sachs and UBS PaineWebber in New York City.
She has a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from the Thomas Watson School of Engineering and Applied Science at the State University of New York (SUNY) at Binghamton. She is also a licensed drone pilot with the FAA and has a radio operator license, W2QNB, from the FCC.
